What type of arrythma does this ecg display?
The PR interval is the start of P way to the start of QRS complex.
One small box=0.04 second
Here the no of box is 5 ,so multiply with 0.04
=0.2 second (normal range is 0.12 to 0.02 seconds)
The QRS normal range is 0.06 to 0.12 seconds .It is considered to be 1.5 to 3 boxes
As 1 box =0.04 second
Here there is 1box and a half box ,so it measures 0.04 +0.02= 0.06 seconds
Interpretation
In ventricular depolarization some of the waves are upside and some waves may be down side. This is also called as biphasic. As 2P wave is found for 1 QRS complex, it is a second degree heart block or AV block. This is an ventricular arrhythmia.

Procedure 1 Interpreting an ECG You will now perform some basic ECG interpretation. Following are two tracings for which you will calculate the heart duration of key periods of the ECG. 1 Identify and label the P wave, QRS complex, T wave, P-R interval, R-R interval, and Q-T interval on Tracings 1 and 2 in Figure 11.27 Tracing 1 Tracing 2 FIGURE 11.27 ECG tracings 2 Cakulate the heart rate for each tracing, Are the values normal or abnormal?
