Work Health and Safety Act 2011 protect the health, safety, and welfare of workers at work and those who are affected by their work. All workers are protected under the WHS act and it avoids risk for workers in work activity. Western Australia and Victoria have not yet adopted the WHS national policy and it not follow work health and safety laws codes of practice. many states and territories at the commonwealth level have WHS obligations. victoria and western Australia retained only their occupations health and safety (OHS) legislation. The WHS laws have been implemented only in Australi capital territory and south Australia. western Australia currently trying to adopt this option to implement laws. In order to operate the law effectively in their jurisdiction. model WHS laws passed by the parliament of the jurisdictions for enacting. this makes a variation to applicable laws in each state and territory to operate effectively and causes substantial variations. so that it is important to understand workers' obligations to be considered WHS laws in each state and territory.
