The incidence and mortality of cervical cancer have declined in the last 40 years in Western societies. Why? What preventable measures have been included in wellness exams?

The rate of cervical cancer stands at third place yet the rate has decreased drastically in the last 40 years.This is because of the awareness and early screening. There were many preventable measures like the modifiable risk factors like smoking .Womens were educated to undergo screening and early treatment ,Vaccination (HPV immunization) Pap smear test for females who are over 21 years of age and till the age 65 years.
