A dual career ladder is a plan for career development that helps professional's in their upward mobility without the need of them to be placed into managerial positions or supervisory. This program helps in employees enhancement who have good technical skills or/and education but who do no want to pursue a supervisory or management track.

To accomplish dual career paths, the equity perception is critical. Hence, work in both ways must be matched to know the complexity level in tasks equal to a specific managerial duty. The matched tasks must be then allocated with equal benefits and pay.

If dual career model ladder is executed correctly then it can provide multiple benefits like reduction in turnover as there will be more career opportunity within the organisation. It also increases motivation and job satisfaction.
