Answer #1

8.

a. Order dose 90 ml at a rate of 30gtt/min

Drop factor 60 gtt/ml (Pediatric drip set)

That means there are 1 ml in 2 minutes (60 gtt/ml \div 30 gtt/min = 2 min/ml)

So, 90 ml is going on in 180 minutes.

30 drops in 1 minute then 180 drops in

180min x 30drops/min = 5, 400drops

Answer - 5,400 drops.

b.

The infusion will run for a total of 180 minutes

c.

total of 3 hours infusion will run
