Tort reform refers to proposed changes in the civil justice system that aim to reduce the ability of victims to bring tort litigation or to reduce damages they can receive.

some of the major issues in tort reform are as follows

1. the lpp reforms and the role of statute.

2.development of liability in psychiatric harm.

3. liability of infliction of mental distress.

4. privacy law reform.

5. changes to the concept of causation in tort.

6. loss of chance

7. wrongful birth and wrongful life.

8. immunities.

9. torts and human rights.

yes, it is very important to limit the damages in providing care to the patient. the care that we are providing should be competent enough to provide relief and support to the patient, and should be ethically based.

the major ethical issues in relation to patient care are

1. patient confidentiality

2. patient relationships

3. malpractice and negligence

4. informed consent

5. issues related to physician assisted suicide.

this all affects the patient care. one who full fills the norms and responsibilities in a proper manner will be the most evident care provider in a society.
