Nosocomial infections are hospital acquired infections.

Aim of clostridium difficile prevention project:

"Early identification and reduce risk of clostridium difficile in patients".

Committee wants the team to accomplish what are the ways to reduce risk of infection from c.difficile and what are the better ways to implement infection control measure

success will be measured by :

  • Evaluating team work
  • Maintaining data record relating to nosocomial infection readmission can help to identify differences before implementing project and after implementing project
  • Project effective ness
  • Identifying readmission rates
  • Lenth of hospital stay by inpatients.   

Infection control team members: Infection control team members are representatives from all departments

  • Representatives are from clinical laboratory
  • House keeping department
  • Maintenance department
  • Dietary department.

And Nursing department .Nursing personal is specially trained to be knowledgeable about the latest research and practice in preventing,detecting and treating infections.In addition the infection control nurse may be involved in employee education.
