These lifestyle changes can include increasing your intake of calcium and vitamin D, as well as getting appropriate exercise. There's no cure for osteoporosis, but proper treatment can help protect and strengthen your bones.

2) Raloxifene is as effective as tamoxifen in reducing the risk of invasive breast cancer. The increased incidence of venous thromboembolism is the main concern of raloxifene therapy and previous history of venous thromboembolism is a contraindication for use of raloxifene.

- Raloxifene is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) and hence is a mixed agonist and antagonist of the estrogen receptor (ER) in different tissues.
