Answer #1

Solution:

Here, Volume: 500ml

Rate of flow:40ml/hour

So, time of flow=volume/rate

=500/40

=12 hours: 720 mins.

Drop factor: 10gtt/ml ( in ur handwriting I am not getting it wheter it's 10 or else, please change accordingly if it's not 10)

IV infusion rate is given by formula= Amount of fluid in ml/total time of infusion in mins ×Drop factor(gtt/ ml)

=500/720 × 10

=7 drops/min.

So the nurse will set the infusion in Iv line at 7 drops/min.
