Status asthmaticus is older term what's commonly known as acute sever astham or a sever asthma exacerbation.It reffers to an astham attack that dose not improve with normal treatment for asthma.such as bronchi dilators.These attack can last for several minutes to hours . Exacerbation is key symptom of astham and COPD.(chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.)
Status asthmticus initial symptoms are short and shallow breaths,wheezing. Coughing.,other symptom's are dyspnea heavy swetting ,trouble speeking ,cyanosis with loss of consciousness,mialgia.
If enough oxygen not get this condition will worsen.
In 8/16 notes doctor has noted that patient had new onset astham, it means its a new case of astham not used any drugs for astham previously..
