Definition of corona and Virus form

Coronavirus mainly affects the respiratory tracts of birds, animals, and humans. It is known as COVID-19 because of "Coronavirus disease, originated in 2019". Nowadays the world is suffering from its outbreak from China. The virus-derived its name from the Latin word meaning "halo" or "crown" because of the crown-like projections on its surface. It has been first identified in Wuhan, China. World Health Organization (WHO) declared the disease pandemic.

Symptoms

• common cold with dry cough
• fever
• pneumonia
• running nose
• headache
• shortness of breath

Disease caused by the virus

the virus has flu orinfluenza like symptoms such as common cold with dry cough, fatigue, respiratory problems, etc.

Method of infection and spread

It can spread through the contact of contaminated objects and infected persons. through coughing and sneezing also. though the virus cannot be spread through the air but transmitted through the contact of contaminated objects.

When a person comes in contact with the contaminated object and then touches his/her eyes, mouth, nose then he/she will get the virus into their body.

Severity

As till now, we have no medicine and vaccine for the virus, therefore in certain cases it might result in the death of the person. the mortality rate due to this virus is very low i.e. around 3% but it is spreading very fast. old age people are at a higher risk of severity due to their weak immune system.
