Detumescence occurs followed by ejaculation when the arteries in the male reproductive organ narrow and the veins become enlarge, draining blood and turn to a normal state or flaccid state. Detumescence occurs also due to physical conditions like heart disease, obesity, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, tobacco use, alcoholism, cancer prostate, and sleep disorder, etc...
