Certain plants can emit certain chemical due to allochemical property and can release psychoactive substance which can bind to the neuronal receptors in the brain .As a result the functions are distributed leading to cognitive and other changes in the body.This overtime creates a dependence in the humans for getting this psychoactive feelings. Continuous and prolonged usage will lead to addiction mainly because of dependence.
