Answer is: A. it can cause digoxin toxicity.

Digoxin acts by binding to Na+/K+-ATPase pump and increases the sodium level intracellularly which induces another channel and exchange with calcium, the increases in the calcium intracellularly in the cardiac muscles increases the force of contraction.

Digoxin toxicity is also worsened by hypokalemia. Because digoxin binds to the potassium site of the Na+/K+-ATPase pump, low serum potassium levels increase the risk of digoxin toxicity. Because there will be more binding of digoxin to the Na+/K+-ATPase, and highly increases its inotropic activity. Therefore, if patient is hypokalemic, administration of digoxin can cause digocin toxicity.
