Answer #1

Veaganism :

It is a way of life which strictly avoids use of any kind of animal products and services that are based on exploitation of animals.

(The first question you can answer according to the preference and choose one instructions)

( Never thought of doing it , or have no intention of doing it

, my preference . Since many years ( l am ) hearing about it and schools we have learned about It and we observed the people who do practice it. Many of ( my) friends started it but half of them stopped it as they couldn't find it easy to follow it , they could avoid non vegetarian food to some extent, few of them could not avoid animal products such as leather shoes, belts etc. Some of them avoided all foods and products that derived from animal sources, for 4-5 months, again they restarted their old life style telling that it is difficult. )

2. Why you have not been eating only vegan meals.

Veganism is the practice of eating neither meat nor other animal products such as milk, fish, milk products, eggs and honey. ( I ) have not been eating only vegan meals and ( am) not preferring to adapt it as ( I like my mom's certain traditional food, that contain non vegetarian items, i don't want to miss it , when I go for vacation), but ( I personally prefer veggies with diary and egg products, eating very less red meat).

By hearing about veganism superficially , people feel that , they can adapt it easily, but when comes to actual life, it will be really difficult.

Cons of veganism : Even though advantages are more, there are some disadvantages for the veganism or vegan diet.

* Chance of weight gain instead weight loss:

People think that they can loss their weight easily by choosing veganism, but in reality, after adapting veganism many of them feel fatigued and more hungry than usual, then they may go for chips, crackers, fried food items or processed starch or Carb items. This unwise choice of foods may again add to their body weight.

* over consumption of legumes and pulses may cause gastric problems in some people:

Depending legumes and pulses for protein need, always will not do good. It may cause bloating and discomfort in many people.

*Vegan diet lack some of the essential nutrients :

Certain nutrients like vitamin B12, omega 3 fatty acids, calcium, folates are mainly found in diary products. It is difficult to get these nutrients from plant sources.

* Risk of certain diseases due to lack of nutrition.

Risk of loss of bone strength and muscle mass , vitamin and mineral deficiency may occur due to veganism. Depending every time on supplements is not a good practice as it may have certain side effects.

* Activism is not the matter, health is the matter.

Some may choose the vegan lifestyle as a result of nature loving or due to the spirit of activism/ philosophy of veganism. But one must see and select it, what is good for their health and environment. Often it is difficult and costly to get the vegan diet. We have to miss the happiness of family gatherings and meal with friends often and the taste of certain traditional foods too.
