Funding for health service challenged by MOH..government got cost pressure due to public health services mostly comes from government fee of charge services..To meet the growing population demand and quality service council for cooperative health Insurance was established by government..This goal to introduce regulation and maintain health insurance strategy among saudi Arabia health care market..
Three stages of development implemented for cooperative health insurance..First one for saudies and non-saudies cooperate health insurance in the private sector,that is employees will pay only health cover costs..Second one is health insurance under government sector for saudies and non -saudies working in the government..Government will pay for employees health insurance will be paid..Last one is for pilgrims group that health insurance will be paid..First phase cover 500 or more employers,second one covers employers with more than 100 workers, third one includes saudi Arabia and domestic workers employees..This scheme and strategy demand the financial burden of saudi Arabia health care service cost burden..It helps the people to select the health service they need..policy makers challenges to provide quality and affordable service for the population..
