Directions to dissolve is -add 18.2 ml of diluent to yeild 250000 units in 1ml

It means after adding 18.2 ml of diluent to the vial it will yield 250000 units in 1ml

The odered dose is 500000 units

After dissolving we will get 250000 units in 1ml

Then, for the odered dose 500000 units we need to take 2ml of dissolved preparation .

The answer is 2ml

2. Ordered dose of mebaral is 0.1gm

Available dose of mebaral is 50mg in one tablet = 0.05gm

To give 0.1 gm of mebaral we need to give 2 tablets of 0.05gm .

The answer is 2 tablets

3. Ordered dose of a medicine is 0.2gm per orally .

Available dose of the medicine is 50mg tablets = 0.05gm

To give a dose of 0.2 gm ,we need to give 4tablets of 0.05gm.

The answer is 4tablets .

4. Ordered dose of a drug is 750mg .

Available dose of medicine is 100 mg in 1ml

100mg of medicine is available in 1ml

1mg of medicine will be available in 1/100

Then 750mg of medicine will be available in 1/100 × 750 ml

= 7.5 ml of the syrup has to be given to give a dose of 750mg.

The answer is 7.5ml
