Answer: Due to diversity in the population it is necessary to learn to deliver a better quality of care to the culturally diverse individuals. For the particular group or the community which is culturally diverse, information has to be collected to provide better health care. The very first thing is the language as communication is one of the best methods to know about the problems and issues of the patients. Understanding their beliefs and religious values also effect the way of the care to be provided to them. Also about the detailed study of their origin and the background of the family.

For example, An Indian origin patient is unable to speak proper English as their national language is Hindi. So, it becomes difficult for healthcare professionals to communicate and know about the particular disease or the problem he is suffering from. This is the main reason that information of the language should also be collected so that any mediator of any family member can explain the detailed history and problem of the patient. Their beliefs also matter as many of the patients depends upon traditional medicines. To provide better treatment medical history should also be known.
