           Formula = Desired dose / Dose in hand * Quantity.

                  Desired dose(D) = 200 mg.

                  Dose in hand (H) = 500 mg.

                           Quantity(Q) = 20 ml.

        As per formula

                Amount (ml) of aminophylline in

                  200 mg of this drug = D / H * Q

                                                                     = 200 / 500 * 20

                                                                     = 0.4 * 20

                                                                     = 8 ml.

3. Calculation of amount( ml) of Pitocin prepared.

           Formula = Desired dose / Dose in hand * Quantity.

                   Desired dose(D) = 20 units.

                  Dose in hand (H) = 10 unit.

                         Quantity (Q) = 1 ml.

       As per formula

          Amount of pitocin prepared = D / H * Q.
