Ans.) As it is mentioned that Mr. T. is having an inferior wall MI, the major complications during getting the thrombolytic therapy would be intracranial hemorrhage, systemic hemorrhage, immunologic complications, hypotension, and myocardial rupture. Among these intracranial hemorrhage is the most fatal complication.

Customary management of myocardial infarction should be implemented concurrently with Retavase treatment is a must. Arterial and venous punctures should be minimized. The nurse should have to take care that second bolus of Retavase should not be given if the serious bleeding occurs before it is administered. If there is severe bleeding, then heparin should be stopped instantaneously.

During the administration of Retavase, arterial puncture be necessary, it is preferable to use an upper extremity vessel that is available to physical compression. Pressure should be applied for approximately 30 minutes by putting a pressure dressing and then the puncture site checked regularly to check bleeding.

In some cases, after the therapy bruising or bleeding at the access site is observe. After internal checkup damage to the blood vessel is found.
