Answer: It has been found in many of the studies that home or community-based service is less expensive than those provides in an institutional setting. These long term care services provide personal care to the patient, socialization, health and mobility and also kinds of therapy. This is because as home-based care need not a particular space to be built for elderly patients as they get all the care at their own place as no new set up has to be made. This minimizes the cost of expenditure which results in the low cost of home-based care. Within the minimum cost, people get more facilities at the home-based care. The care of the elder people is taken by the skilled nurses who also provide them proper counseling whenever they are in need of.
