Answer: Nutrition plays important role in our body as it maintains the normal function and also promotes good oral health. Nutrients such as calcium, protein etc. provide strength to the teeth as well as gums. It also to nourish the oral canal.

Eating sugary foods or drinking caffeinated drinks leads not only disturbance in the body but also it has effect on the oral health. Foods we choose and eat often affect our oral health specially teeth. If we consume excessive sugar, sweeteene fruit drinks or any kind of non nutritious food it will increase the risk of tooth decay.

Chocolates are the major cause of tooth decay in children whereas as excessive consumption of sugar, alcohol etc. are responsible for the gum diseases in adults. The minimum amount of fluoride present in the toothpaste can be cause cleaning affect whereas excessive fluoride also causes gum diseases and decaying.
