  • A well balanced ,nutritious diet is important For good oral health and general health .
  • Dental hygienists work with their clients to promote good overaloverall health by keeping the mouth and body healthy with preventive oral care treatment and nutrition counselling
  • Taking low sugar filled sodas , sweetened fruit drinks or nutritious snacks decrease the risk of tooth loss .
  • Should take calcium rich diet For strenthening of teeth .
  • Should take vit .C rich diet For healthy gums
  • Fat free diet or low fat diet such as fat free milk ,tofu ,canbed salmon ,cheese ,yogurt ,fortified soy  drinks ,almonds and dark green leafy vegetables help to promote strong teeth.and bones .
  • Phosphorous ,found in eggs ,fish ,lean meat ,dairy ,nuts and beans is good For strong teeth.
  • Be complex vitamins are very help ful For keeping mouth healthy and prevents angular stomatitis ,mouth ulcers etc .

  • Do not hold or swish acidic drinks
  • Seek medical care when intrinsic causes are involved .
