The proposal is published and open for public comments on October 2, 2017. According to FDA the changes were made on Nutrition facts and Supplement facts label, which includes addition of a Total Sugar label line at the back of food containers and packets, which should indicate both natural and added preservative sugars on the updating listings of labels. Along with inclusion of listings for nutrients vitamin D, Potassium, Daily values of foods. Overall FDA proposed deadline for changes to 5 big challenges for the publishing of new labels.

I agree to the proposal made by FDA on food supplements and their requirements. All the humans are living on the food, but the food which we are consuming today is not at all natural, it is going to available through addition of more sugars, excess fatty diets, unhealthy foods which are causing human population to acquire diseases very fast. Food adulteration is a key term to discuss in the nutrition sector, as foods are mixing with non edible things which humans should not consume as they cause serious health effects. On inclusion of all the proposed nutritive data and facts it can be easily identified the natural and artificial level of foods added in the foods. Publishing of nutritive values on the label indicates clear idea on the food manufacturer, nutritive levels in the pack, sugar content is low or high in the food, which could be a good sign for good health status. But, the extension period of the proposal by FDA will not be accepted by all the people, which gets opposes from the manufacturers as it take loss to the company because of reprinting of all the listings given by FDA. The consequences which arise during this period of extension should be faced by both company and organization as this proposal is useful for peoples healthy life.
