1, Evaluating the role of nursing in epidemiology
2, Analyzing evidence-based practices aimed at reducing infectious diseases
Answer: Nurse plays multiple roles as their duty is not only confined to only to take care of the patient but also provide a better quality of care and services. The nurse plays an important role in the epidemiology. The nurse prevents the spreading of the disease and also reduce the risk of infection by examining the patients and determining the potential presence of infection. The nurse takes steps to evaluate, assess and plan to reduce the risk of the infection. They educate the patient about the infection as well as prevention from it so as to reduce the transmission of the infection and disease.
The evidence-based practice or studies helps to reduce the risk of infection among the population, patients and the community as the evidence-based practice help to determine the cause and the methods used to prevent the infection. It provides a platform to access, analyze as well as evaluate the infection cause and the risk. Hence it helps in the prevention of the infection.
