While working in a clinic, what tool would you provide to the providers to make sure that they only admitted a small number of patients? Also, would this clinic serve insured, uninsured or under insured patients?

* Incorporating the new bundle will involve changes in the way people do their work, which is often difficult. In some cases, the changes will be minor, but in others, they will be substantial. Therefore, to make the needed changes:

  • It will be important to ensure that staff understand the new roles and have the knowledge and tools to carry them out.
  • Help reduce resistance to change by ensuring that staff understand the reasons for change and agree that change is needed.
  • To help staff accept the new bundle of practices fully, ensure that they understand that those practices offer promising strategies for providing high-quality care for patients.
  • Identify and minimize practical barriers to using new practices, such as inadequate access to supplies.
  • At all levels, engage staff to gain their support and buy-in to the improvement effort and help tailor the practices.

When working in the clinic we have to ensure the safety of the patient thus deliver a high quality of care to the patients whoever needed.

But still, we have to know or whether they are getting adequate care or not or some tools may be given to the providers to make sure that they only admitted a small number of patients. These tools are mainly in the form of patient feedback form/tool.

Measuring the quality of health care is important because it tells us how the health system is performing and leads to improved care. Quality measurement in health care is the process of using data to evaluate the performance of health plans and health care providers against recognized quality standards.

To manage the change process effectively, the Implementation Team will guide, coordinate, and support the implementation effort during the pilot phase

Several hospitals that recently used this tool to assess patient attitudes and discovered some surprises that had immediate implications for staff education in their area.
