IN 2002 ,the joint commission established its national patient safety goals programme ..which was effective in 1 Jan 2003.

The NPSG were established to help accredited organisations who role in specific area of concern in regard to patients safety.

need for further training bcoz NPSG are change or added some important topic for medical patient safety point of view...change effective for 2019

NPSG 15.01.01 on suicide prevention..for hospital and behaviour health care organisations has been revised to be more specific and instructional...some point including...

@ behaviour health care organisations , psychiatric hospital and psychiatric unit in general hospital should conduct environmental risk assessment to be ligature resistant..

@ non psychiatric unit in general hospital are not expected to be ligature resistant..

@organisation must develop a plan to migrate suicide based

@organisation must follow written policies and procedures for counselling and follow up care for individual identify

NPSG ON ANTICOAGLULENT

FOR the regulatory health care , critical access hospital and nursing care centre accreditation problems..NPSG apply to organisations that initiat , manage,and adjust dose for anticoagulant medication
