Answer #1

Answer 1.

50 ml/ hr sustacal in 1 hour.

That means ,for 6 hours = 6hours × 50ml = 300 ml

So, 300 ml feed is needed to administer in 6 hours .

Answer 2.

For administering sustacal for 6 hours ,

One can hold 240 ml ,

To hold 300 ml 2 cans will be needed.

Answer

For 6 hours= 6× 50 ml/ hr= 300 ml total solution is needed

Calculate

D×Q= 3/4× 300 ml

= 225 ml feed will be needed

And 300- 225 = 75 ml water is needed.

Answer : 225 ml of feeding

Answer : 75 ml of water.

Answer

From above solution we can conclude that one can holds 240 ml ,and we have to administer 225 ml of feed so only 1 can is needed, 75 ml water can be added later.

Answer is 1 can

Answer 9 .

gtts/min= ml /hr× drop factor.

1litre D5 1= 1000 ml

And in minutes,

12 hr × 60 = 720 min.

gtts/min= ml/ hr× drop factor.

= 1000(ml) ÷720(min) × 20 (drop factor)

gtts/ min = 27.7
