Comprehensive assessment technique help assist with this situation..It need problem -solving skills..Comprehensive assessment needed when baby crying..it cover all aspects and dealing with all elements of something where the exact issues happening..Baby cry for many reasons like it could be hunger or having wet nappy or pain in stomach or due to uncomfortable position..
If baby is tired it may show the signs of yawning,staring,sucking,rubbing eyes etc..to identify what is the exact cause to baby cry
-look carefully baby face and body movement..
-Inspect the hands,feet,finger and toes..
-offer objects to explore
-Try feed the baby and observe if they hungry they may stop crying
-Though they are twins put them together in same cradle some time this technique helps to calm them..
- Call for help and inform to parents.
- There may be colic symptoms for baby crying
-inform doctor for further evaluation..
Nursing diagnosis:
Excess crying or colic for infants can be alarming for physicians and care takers or parents..Physician use the term colic when baby excessive crying,irritability or fussiness..during this time mother can continue breast feeding..possible therapeutic benefits from eliminating milk products,eggs,wheat and nuts from the diet of breast feeding mothers..
Main goal to decrease crying it need infant -parent or care giver communication important to recognize the baby crying,and parents need upto one year followup for evaluate baby nutritional status,health condition and management technique when baby is irritable..when we handle twin baby can for assistance to manage the problem..When one baby is crying other one have the tendency to cry more..problem solving skills necessary when we identify the problem..watch baby carefully and it need timely help when baby is crying..
