Scenario:

Ms. Lara is a 29 years old female with 30 weeks of gestation. She gave birth to a male infant 6 hours back at her friend's house. She was abused with alcohol and drugs throughout the pregnancy even though the physician's and counselor advised about the effects occurred on newborn. The newborn shows signs of drug withdrawal and affected with fetal alcohol syndrome.

ICD-10 CM code and the descriptions:

Z38.1 - Single live infant born outside of the hospital.

P07.33 - Preterm baby ( born at 30 weeks of gestation)

Q86.0 - Fetal alcohol syndrome.

P96.1 - Neonatal shows withdrawal symptoms of drugs.
