HYPERTROPHIC CARDIOMYOPATHY :

1. PATIENT GOALS : * To improve ventricular filling. * To reduce ventricular contractility

2. PATIENT LEARNING NEEDS REGARDING MEDICATION :

* Educate patient not to skip the medications, take them on time even if he/she is feeling well

* Teach patient and family members to check blood pressure, pulse, respiration regularly or weekly and if any abnormal findings are noted tell them to consult physician immediately without any delay

* Educate the patient about the side effects of using medications like drowsiness

* Teach patients not to stop the medications as sudden withdraw of medications leads to myocardial infarction, arrhythmias/
