which is more important to nursing practice clinical significance or statistical significance and why?
In my opinion clinical significance is more important to nursing practice rather than the statistical significance. This is because the statistical significance gives the assumption that the results of any research are reliable and could be applied to the clinical research on the basis of average data. While in clinical research, the results which are statistically significant are interpreted on ground level in real clinical practice to assure their clinical potential in evidence based practitices.
One thing more if in any study if the researchers claim that certain results are statistically significant, it doesn’t mean that they are clinically important too (means there is need to prove it beneficial for the evidence based practice to be clinically important).
