Science has definitely assisted in understanding the origin and nature of morality. For instance, during evolution of human being some values like collectivism and mutual aid was cherished. Individual morality slowly and gradually transition into societal values.
Yes, science has helped helped to find the origin of morality. And this process is perpetual in nature and exists in a never ending cycle.
