it is one of the important organs of the reproductive system that plays an important role during sexual intercourse, its main function is to produce lubrication that avoids friction during intercourse,

The greater vestibular organ that is located posterior to the left and the right of the vagina, it is homologous to the bulbourethral gland that is found in males, Bartholin glands in female secrets the fluid during sexual excitement which helps in lubrication of the vagina.
