BSA=√wt in kg × height in cm/3600

BSA=√40 kg × 120cm/3600

BSA of child will be=1.15 m2

Child’s dosage of medication = (BSA of child in m2/ 1.7 m2) x Dose for adult)

= (1.15/1.73) X 250

=166.183 mg will be the dosage for the child.
