Hand washing is one of the most important method in control of infection. It can be used at any point of time and it is considered as easy method of control of infection. As the patients may or may not have any infection the health care professionals in the department should use the universal precautions like glove, mask, apron etc to reduce the clause contact with the patient. Also, sometimes the procedures in the radiology department needs to inject dye or may be given anaesthesia for the patient, in these situations special precaution should be taken to the disposal of these used syringes and other materials.
