Poor vascularization of adipose tissue due to vascular insufficiency and decreased oxygen tension results in decreased collagen synthesis reduces the ability of necessary mechanism of clotting system to heal the wound. As the adipose tissue grows in obese persons there is an increased demand for blood and oxygen. To overcome this extra burden on circulatory system adipose tissue begins develop its own vascular system. But capillary density is not increased in proportion to increased adipose tissue. This leads to development of vascular insufficiency, there is decreased flow of blood and oxygen resulting in poor wound healing and even necrosis of tissue. Therefore option D is the correct answer.
