a.In 1 hr 150 ml is administered, so 1000=7 hours (1000÷150=6.6 or 7 hours)

b.IV fluid of 1000ml should be administered via a macroset with a flow rate of 10gtt/ml

C.Flow rate=Total volume×drop factor÷Total time×60

With macrodrip

=1000×10÷7×60

=23.8 or 29 gtt/min

Sith micrdrip

=1000×60÷7×60

=142gtt/mn

2.Given

Total volume :100ml

Time:6 hours (12_6pm)

Route :IV

a.A microdrip is necessary to administer the fluid over a prolonged time for smaller quantity

b.Flow rate= Total volume ×drop factor÷time×60

With 10 gtt/ml

=100×10÷6×60

Total volume =500ml

Flow rate :Total volume×15÷24×60

=500×15÷24×60
