Because untreated pelvic inflammatory disease can cause the scar and infected tissue formation or pus collection  in fellopian tubes and other reproductive organs, so there is a full chance to complication for ectopic pregnancy in PID.

PID is female reproductive organ disease, it Can occurs through sexually transmitted bacteria, spread from genitalia to uterus, Fallopian tubes and ovaries and there is no signs and symptoms.

And it can be treated by antibiotic therapy.
