1.first priority should be given to modify the life style modification .tell him about the importance of life style modification.then,doctors can prescribe ACE inhibitors as primary drug.angiotensin inhibitors ,calcium channel blockers can be given followed this .before giving medication check patients history of hypertension,life style,history of any drug side effects .this would assist to tackle further complications and maintain blood presure

2.tell him about the possible complicTions that can occur if he does not take medicines properly such as stroke and cardiac diseases.tell him that if his blood presure comes undercontrol then doctor will stop the medicines.so this should take for short period of time.if you cooperate and avoid vigorous actuvities you will get cured soon.this can encourage him to follow the instructions.

3.vigorous activity can increase the work load of heart.this would lead to rise the blood presure especially work out in theg gym so heshould stop such activitiesfor a while .and should take rest .he can do exercise such as walking or swimming if he wants.
