Answer #1

Ans) False positive: A test result which wrongly indicates that a particular condition or attribute is present.

The false positive rate is calculated as the ratio between the number of negative events wrongly categorized as positive (false positives) and the total number of actual negative events (regardless of classification).

False negative: A test result which wrongly indicates that a particular condition or attribute is absent.

The false positive rate is calculated as the ratio between the number of negative events wrongly categorized as positive (false positives) and the total number of actual negative events (regardless of classification)

Age adjusted death rate:

The age-adjusted rates are rates that would have existed if the population under study had the same age distribution as the "standard" population. Therefore, they are summary measures adjusted for differences in age distributions

To calculate the age-standardized mortality rate (ASMR), we must first calculate the age-specific (mortality) rates for each age group by dividing the number of deaths by the respective population, and then multiplying the resulting number by 100,000: Age-specific rate, 0 to 39 years.

Long term survival rate:

- The overall survival rate is often stated as a five-year survival rate, which is the percentage of people in a study or treatment group who are alive five years after their diagnosis or the start of treatment. Also called survival rate.
