There is quotation " Smoking is injurious to health".

It is a fact, smoking destroys your health faster.

It is very difficult to habituate smoking and at the same time it is very difficult to stop the smoking once addicted.

Barriers for changing smoking:-

• Personal barriers like
  • Addiction to nicotine
  • Using as stress relieving technique
• Structural barriers like lack tobacco cessation programmes
• Socio cultural barriers like
  • Cultural influence
  • Prestige
  • Societal and group influence
• Physical barriers like easy availability of tobacco products increases smoking tendency

No known health benefit of smoking. It always adversely affects the good health.

Those health risks include:-

• Cancers:- smoking causes no.of cancers. It affects like mouth, larynx, lungs, kidney, stomach, liver, bladder, pancreas, colon etc
• COPD
• Emphysema
• Chronic bronchitis
• Hypertension
• Smoking tobacco damages your heart and blood vessels increasing your risk of heart disease and stroke. It’s a major cause of coronary heart disease, which can lead to a heart attack.
