Answer #1

Most species in our planet reproduce by using sexual method. But the bacteria or various microorganisms reproduce asexually.

Reproduction is one of the biological method of producing the offspring from and by their parents. It is the method of continuation of the existence of the species in the world for several years.

Sexual reproduction is a process of reproduction in which new organisms or individuals are formed by combining the genetic information or gametes of two different individuals of the same species.

The plants and animals have variations as well as similarities in their method of reproduction. The plant and animals reproduce by the method of sexual reproduction but some of the plant also reproduces by asexual method.

Asexual reproduction is a type of reproduction in which the offspring is produced by the division of a single parent into two. The offspring inherits the characteristics of a single individual parent as it does not involve the fusion of two gametes.

The difference between the sexual reproduction and asexual reproduction are:

- sexual reproduction indicates combining the genetic material from both the parents but in asexual reproduction the organism produces offspring exactly as it is which will be genetically identical to themselves.

- asexual reproduction takes place without the involvement of sex and partner where as sexual reproduction takes place in the presence of sex between two individual partners from the same species.

- the gene of the offspring of the asexual reproduction is the exact copy of its parent and changes rarely due to rare mutations where as in sexual reproduction the offspring consists of chromosomes from both the parents .

- asexual reproduction involves mitosis cell division whereas sexual reproduction involves meiosis cell division.

- sexual reproduction involves the process of fertilization between two gametes produced from male and female but in asexual reproduction it does not involve fertilization.
