The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act extends Medicaid coverage to millions of Americans, which may result both physician and funding shortages. One way to deal with this problem is to ration care. 1. Do you agree or disagree with the concept of basic coverage for everyone, if some treatments and procedures cannot be covered? Explain your reasons. 2. Who should decide which procedures will be paid for and which will not? 3. How would you rank medical procedures? Which ones should never be denied? Are there any that you believe patients should be required to pay for themselves?

1.Everyone deserves the rights to have a healthy life.It is the responsibility of the government to bring this possible.The concept of basic coverage is agreed because this can screen and provide intervention in a earlier stage and preventing unnecessary medical expenditure (source ,supplies and finance)Certain treatment which are negotiable or of very high cost or in short supply or in greater demand due to less resources cannot be cobered in this basic coverage where patient themselves have to afford it.

2.The payers are chiefly responsible and decide which procedure to be paid and which not

3.The medical procedures should be ranked on the basis of treatment necessary for a disease condition.The life saving procedure should never be denied (CPR,Oxygenation)

The procedure which are not covered in the insurance can be paid by the patiwnt ,but if they are economically backward they can be provided concession as per the state and federal laws
