- The sample should be representative of the population to ensure that we can generalise the findings from the research sample to the population as a whole.

- The purpose of sampling in research to find representative samples to avoid bias. It is often impractical and sometimes undesirable to try and study the entire population.

- Sampling helps a lot in research. It is one of the most important factors which determines the accuracy of research/survey result. If anything goes wrong with sample, then it will be directly reflected in the final result.
