1). Luflation is increase in average prin level of a basket of selected goods & services in a economy over a period of time.inflation = ( CPI in year 2 - CPI in year 1 ) / CPI in year 1

We use CPI for inflation because it measures the average price of the market basket and gives us a clear idea about the existing price level of those goods basket in economy. Essentially it attempts to quantify the aggregate price level in an economy and thus measure the purchasing power of a country's unit of currency.
