Ethical and legal responsibilities include :-

- autonomy

self-determination; the freedom to make decisions supported by knowledge and self-confidence

the willingness to accept responsibility for one's actions

- advocacy

supporting or promoting the interests of others or of a cause greater than ourselves

- beneficence

doing good; caring for others regardless of our own views; difficult with prisoners

limits sharing private patient info; HIPPA

keeping promises or agreements made with others ; essential for patient trust

A home care patient needs to be cared for in a hospital but should be discharged from the service when the condition of the patient gets stable . Admitting a home care patient for long time and not discharging is not potential and rational working . It's just waste of time ,material ,and funds on stable patient than using it on a patient who is more deserving for it like critically sick patients.
