Familial controls refers to certain standards ,practices,beliefs in a family followed generation after generation in accordance with their culture,race,ethnicity,demography etc.,

Some of the ways which can deviate a familial controls are

• Mass media,advertisement influences one's behaviour gradually and deviates them from their familial control
• The practices followed in the society can change the normal controls followed in other family
• To stay away from the image of low socioeconomic status
