Elaborate on some of the challenges to successful Quality Improvement. What are some ways we can address them?

There are five main challenges that can be witnessed while implementing quality improvement in the organization=

Organizational culture= The culture of the organization plays a significant role in the successful quality improvement initiatives. If the organizational culture promotes the new changes and the new changes are implemented in the practices and procedures effectively, then only the initiatives for quality improvement will be successful.

Leadership commitment= The leadership or managements involvement in these initiatives is important as if they do not follow the implemented changes then no one in the firm will start doing so

Support of the employees= It is very important as the employees are the ones who have to implement the quality improvement initiatives. They need to be motivated to promote these kinds of practices.

Implementation time= The organization must have sufficient time to implement the change, In many cases, the organizations try to implement the changes on immediate basis and this can result in failed results.

Training= Inadequate training can also result in the failure of the quality improvement initiatives, Proper training has to be provided to the ones who are going to implement quality improvement.

In order to deal with the above challenges following things must be done=

The top management needs to show its support and implement these practices in daily operations. Employees must be given incentives to implement the proposed quality improvement

Proper training on how to use the quality improvement tools must be given to the manpower.

The employees who promote quality improvement initiatives must be rewarded

The organization must implement these practices on regular basis
