4. Even the HIV blood test comes negative we conaider the PEP because out is the golden time to treat and prevent HIV within 72 hours to 4weeks the treatment is given . The patient might be positive after few days it might be that he is in thw window period so, to be safe we consider PEP I'd the test is negative also .
5. PEP will be effective only if it is started with in 72 hours of exposure and taken treatment for 4 weeks.
